What will you do?
As an IT Project Engineer you play a key role in realising diverse IT projects for our clients. Network implementations, server migrations, telephony projects and the rollout of Microsoft 365 environments are tasks you can handle and manage independently. You work together with colleagues from the support, sales and professional services departments and liaise directly with clients to translate their wishes into smart solutions. You are also a third-line point of reference for more complex issues for our junior employees.
Your tasks
- Onboarding and migrating new clients;
- Preparing, coordinating and carrying out IT projects;
- Advising clients on suitable IT solutions and their setup;
- Installing and configuring network infrastructures, redundancy and internet access, mainly based on the Ubiquiti platform;
- Maintaining and migrating Windows Server, Remote Desktop, virtualisation platforms and the underlying hardware for these;
- Implementations of Microsoft 365 and 3CX VoIP telephony;
- Documentation and aftercare following delivery of projects or changes in our documentation platform;
- Handling escalations and complex issues that cannot be resolved by our first- or second-line support; in doing so you support and coach our support team so they can, where possible, resolve these issues themselves in the future;
- An eye for security and knowledge of implementing security solutions;
- Optimising environments and, where possible, applying workflow automation.
What do you bring?
- A completed higher professional education (hbo) and/or demonstrable hbo working and thinking level based on experience;
- Experience with project-based IT work and knowledge of network and Microsoft Server infrastructures;
- Experience with 3CX, Microsoft 365, Ubiquiti and/or Kaseya is an advantage;
- A proactive, independent attitude and good communication skills;
- A customer-focused mindset with a sharp eye for quality and documentation.
